Carmen was experiencing domestic abuse during her pregnancy in the worst forms possible, she was isolated in her partner’s home, almost restricted to her bedroom, where she spent many days without having anything substantial to eat.

She was prevented from making contact with family members and hadn’t no friends.

Client’s father had gotten concerned and went to checked on his daughter and found her in a deplorable state. The matter was reported and client went back to her parents’ home with her two other children.

Upon receiving counselling, clients had gotten the opportunity to access the one year’s Scholarship to study at Carnegie and was further supported by H&S to ensure that day care fees were paid for her children, in order for her to be able to complete her studies.

Client had completed her studies, was very successful and is presently employed.
